Brockley is a district in south east London, in the borough of Lewisham. It is between Nunhead and Hither Green, and south of New Cross. Brockley has its own railway station, and is about 15 minutes away from London Bridge Station. It is south of the A2 and just under 10 miles from London City Airport.

Brockley was originally a small hamlet in farm and woodland. It was industrialised in 1809, when the Croyden Canal was built. This was later replaced with the London and Croyden Railway. In the 1840s a large amount of residential housing was built by the Tyrwhitt-Drake family, who owned a big proportion of the area. Brockley was heavily bombed during World War II, but much of the Victorian architecture survived and is still present today.

Brockley has a thriving arts scene. It hosts an annual arts and music festival, Brockley Max, and has several art galleries. It is home to the Brockley Jack Studio Theatre, which features a diverse program of poetry, comedy and theatre. It also has a dance hall and a number of music venues.
